For example, a 1-baht gold necklace with the hallmark 96.5% means that the necklace is made of 96.5% gold bullion as its main component (approximately 95% of the necklace is 99.99% gold, the rest is other metals). Pieces with the hallmark 99.99% mean that 99.99% gold is used as its main component. In the manufacturing process, a lower percentage of gold may be used as an ingredient. Pieces with the hallmark 750 mean that 18K (750) gold is used as its main component.
