POLICIES AT TMKGOLD
Tama Jewelry Co., Ltd.
TMK Gold is committed to providing a secure, transparent and professional experience for every customer.
These policies apply to purchases and services made through the TMK Gold website, social-media channels, telephone orders and participating TMK Gold branches.
By confirming an order, paying a deposit or making full payment, the customer acknowledges and accepts the policies applicable to that purchase.
1. Product Information
TMK Gold offers gold bars, gold jewelry, gemstone jewelry, made-to-order products, bespoke products and related services.
Product photographs, colours, measurements and weights shown on our website are provided for reference. Slight variations may occur because of:
-
handmade production;
-
actual finished weight;
-
natural gemstone characteristics;
-
lighting and screen settings;
-
production techniques; and
-
differences between individual pieces.
Products displayed online may also be available for sale at our physical branches. Website stock information may therefore change before the online inventory is updated.
Where an ordered product is unavailable, TMK Gold will contact the customer to discuss an alternative product, revised production period or another appropriate arrangement.
2. Gold Price Policy
TMK Gold uses the gold prices published on the official TMK Gold website as the primary pricing basis for its gold products and transactions.
The applicable gold price may vary according to:
-
gold purity, including 96.5%, 99.99%, 90%, 18K and 10K;
-
product category;
-
whether the transaction is a purchase or sale;
-
product weight;
-
workmanship charges;
-
gemstones or other materials;
-
foreign exchange rates; and
-
other applicable charges.
Prices shown for individual products may be calculated using the relevant TMK Gold website gold price together with the product’s gold weight, purity, workmanship charge and any additional materials or services.
Gold prices may change several times during the day. Product prices displayed on the website may therefore be updated automatically or recalculated when the customer confirms the order.
The applicable gold price is the TMK Gold website price in effect at the time the order and payment are confirmed, unless TMK Gold has expressly agreed to another price in writing.
Adding a product to the shopping cart, requesting a quotation, submitting an enquiry or reserving an appointment does not reserve or lock the gold price.
Where payment is delayed, incomplete or cannot be verified, TMK Gold may recalculate the order using the current TMK Gold website price at the time payment is received and confirmed.
For products priced according to actual finished weight, the final amount will be calculated using the applicable TMK gold price, adjusted for purity and actual weight, together with workmanship and other applicable charges.
Prices shown on the website may be rounded for display purposes. The final invoice or sales document will show the confirmed transaction amount.
TMK Gold reserves the right to correct a pricing, calculation or technical error before an order is confirmed. Where payment has already been received and a material error is identified, TMK Gold will contact the customer before proceeding.
A later increase or decrease in the TMK Gold website gold price does not change the confirmed purchase price and does not provide a right to cancel, return or request a refund.
3. Final Pricing
The final price of a product may depend on:
-
the applicable TMK gold price;
-
gold purity;
-
actual gold weight;
-
workmanship charges;
-
gemstones and other materials;
-
foreign exchange rates;
-
delivery and insurance charges; and
-
applicable taxes or fees.
A quotation does not reserve a gold price unless TMK Gold expressly confirms this in writing.
An order is confirmed only after:
-
the product specifications have been agreed;
-
the applicable price or pricing method has been confirmed;
-
the required deposit or full payment has been received; and
-
TMK Gold has accepted the order.
For products priced according to finished weight, the final price may differ from the original estimate and will be calculated using the actual completed weight.
4. Payment
Available payment methods may include:
-
bank transfer;
-
payment card;
-
cash at participating branches;
-
approved online payment services; or
-
another payment method confirmed by TMK Gold.
The customer is responsible for providing correct payment information.
TMK Gold may request:
-
proof of payment;
-
customer identification;
-
payer information;
-
bank-account information;
-
evidence of the relationship between the customer and payer; or
-
other supporting documents.
Processing may be delayed where:
-
payment cannot be verified;
-
payment is incomplete;
-
the payer is different from the customer;
-
required information has not been supplied; or
-
the transaction requires additional compliance checks.
An order is not considered fully paid until the payment has been received, verified and accepted by TMK Gold.
5. Final Sale, Returns, Exchanges and Refunds
Gold and jewelry prices are affected by changing gold prices, market conditions, foreign exchange rates, product weight, purity and workmanship.
For this reason, all confirmed purchases are final.
TMK Gold does not accept returns, exchanges, cancellations or refunds after an order has been confirmed or payment has been received.
This policy applies to:
-
gold bars and investment gold;
-
gold jewelry;
-
gemstone jewelry;
-
standard products;
-
online purchases;
-
in-store purchases;
-
made-to-order products;
-
bespoke and personalised products;
-
engraved products;
-
resized or altered products;
-
specially sourced products; and
-
products produced according to customer specifications.
A change of mind, a later change in the gold price, finding a lower price elsewhere, incorrect size information supplied by the customer or incorrect customer instructions does not qualify for a return, exchange or refund.
An exception applies only where:
-
the product has a confirmed manufacturing defect attributable to TMK Gold;
-
the wrong product was supplied; or
-
the product differs materially from the confirmed order.
All products claimed to be defective must be inspected by TMK Gold before any remedy is approved.
Depending on the inspection result, TMK Gold may provide:
-
repair;
-
replacement;
-
correction of the product;
-
exchange for the correct item; or
-
another remedy required under applicable law.
A cash refund is not automatically available where the product can reasonably be repaired, corrected or replaced.
6. Non-Refundable Deposits and Payments
All deposits and payments are non-refundable once an order has been confirmed.
This includes deposits and payments for:
-
made-to-order products;
-
bespoke products;
-
personalised products;
-
engraved products;
-
resized or altered products;
-
specially sourced products;
-
gold-price-confirmed orders; and
-
products produced according to customer specifications.
Once an order is confirmed, TMK Gold may:
-
reserve or purchase gold;
-
purchase materials or gemstones;
-
allocate production capacity;
-
begin design or production work;
-
arrange specialist services; or
-
commit to suppliers.
The customer may therefore not cancel the order or request repayment of the deposit or payment after confirmation.
Changes requested after confirmation are subject to technical feasibility and may result in:
-
additional charges;
-
a revised product price;
-
a revised finished weight; or
-
a revised completion date.
7. Made-to-Order and Bespoke Products
Before production begins, the customer must approve the relevant product details, which may include:
-
design;
-
dimensions;
-
size;
-
gold purity;
-
estimated weight;
-
gemstones;
-
materials;
-
workmanship charges;
-
estimated production period; and
-
payment conditions.
The final product may have minor handmade variations from drawings, renderings, samples or reference photographs.
Where pricing is based on actual finished weight, the final price may differ from the original estimate.
The customer is responsible for checking all approved specifications before production begins.
Changes requested after production has started may not be possible and may require additional payment.
Production periods are estimates and may change because of material availability, technical requirements, design changes, inspection requirements or circumstances outside TMK Gold’s reasonable control.
8. One-Year Limited Warranty
Eligible jewelry purchased from TMK Gold is covered by a one-year limited warranty against confirmed manufacturing defects, beginning on the original purchase date.
Proof of purchase is required.
The warranty may include complimentary labour for an eligible repair where the problem is confirmed to have resulted from manufacturing.
The warranty does not cover:
-
normal wear and tear;
-
scratches, dents or surface marks;
-
bending or deformation;
-
damage caused by impact, pressure or pulling;
-
broken chains caused by misuse;
-
accidental damage;
-
loss or theft;
-
loss of gemstones caused by impact;
-
damage caused by chemicals, perfume, cosmetics, chlorine or cleaning products;
-
improper storage;
-
unauthorised repair, polishing, resizing or alteration;
-
changes in surface finish caused by normal use;
-
incorrect use of the product; or
-
natural variations in handmade products or gemstones.
TMK Gold must inspect the product before confirming whether the warranty applies.
Replacement materials, gemstones, components, specialist services and delivery charges may be charged separately unless the defect is confirmed to be TMK Gold’s responsibility.
9. White-Gold Replating
White-gold jewelry may be finished with rhodium or another surface plating.
The appearance of this plating may gradually change through normal wear. This is not normally considered a manufacturing defect.
Eligible white-gold jewelry purchased from TMK Gold may receive complimentary replating within 12 months from the original purchase date, subject to:
-
proof of purchase;
-
inspection by TMK Gold; and
-
the product being technically suitable for replating.
Repairs, gemstone work, replacement parts, deep scratches, dents, resizing and restoration may incur additional charges.
10. Cleaning, Repair and Resizing
TMK Gold provides cleaning, repair, polishing, restoration and resizing services for eligible products.
Complimentary cleaning may be available for products purchased from TMK Gold.
For repair or resizing requests:
-
the product must first be inspected;
-
technical feasibility must be confirmed;
-
an estimated price may be provided;
-
additional materials may be charged separately; and
-
completion times may vary according to the work required.
Some products cannot be resized safely because of their design, construction or gemstone placement.
Products purchased from other companies may be accepted for service after inspection. TMK Gold may decline work where the product cannot be repaired safely or where its material, construction or condition cannot be adequately verified.
11. Manufacturing Defects
A product may be considered defective where:
-
it is received damaged;
-
it has a confirmed production fault;
-
it differs materially from the approved specification; or
-
the wrong product has been supplied.
The following are not normally considered manufacturing defects:
-
normal wear;
-
scratches or dents caused after purchase;
-
deformation caused by pressure;
-
broken components caused by impact or pulling;
-
changes in plating or surface finish through normal use;
-
damage caused by chemicals;
-
damage caused by unauthorised repair or alteration;
-
gemstone damage caused by impact; or
-
normal handmade variation.
Customers should contact TMK Gold promptly after discovering a possible defect.
TMK Gold may request:
-
photographs or video;
-
proof of purchase;
-
the product certificate;
-
packaging;
-
delivery records; or
-
return of the product for inspection.
12. Jewelry Care
All jewelry should be handled carefully.
To preserve the product:
-
store each item separately;
-
use a soft pouch or lined jewelry box;
-
avoid contact with perfume, cosmetics, chlorine and household chemicals;
-
remove jewelry before exercise, bathing, swimming or heavy work;
-
avoid bending, pulling or applying pressure;
-
avoid dropping the product;
-
clean the product only with a suitable soft cloth or approved method; and
-
have clasps, chains, settings and gemstones inspected periodically.
Diamonds and gemstones may scratch other jewelry and should be stored separately.
Some gemstones should not be cleaned with water, heat, ultrasonic equipment or chemical solutions. Customers may contact TMK Gold for product-specific care advice.
13. Gold Bar Orders
Gold bar orders are subject to market availability and final confirmation.
TMK Gold may source gold bars from approved suppliers or sub-dealers. Unless a specific refinery, shape, brand or packaging format is confirmed in writing, the supplied brand or format may vary.
TMK Gold confirms the stated:
-
gold purity; and
-
total gold weight.
Gold bars are normally prepared after full payment has been received and verified.
Preparation time may vary according to market supply, demand and product availability.
All gold bar orders are final and non-refundable, except where:
-
the stated purity is incorrect;
-
the stated weight is incorrect;
-
the wrong product has been supplied; or
-
another manufacturing or supply defect attributable to TMK Gold is confirmed.
14. Store Collection
Eligible orders may be collected from a participating TMK Gold branch.
Customers will be contacted when the order is ready.
The person collecting the order may be required to present:
-
valid identification;
-
the order confirmation;
-
proof of payment; and
-
written authorisation where another person is collecting the order.
Please do not visit a branch for collection until TMK Gold has confirmed that the order is ready.
Products should be inspected at the time of collection. Any concern about the product supplied should be raised with staff immediately.
